Benefits of smart hydrant management with Hydrologger®

Authorised, measured water intake

Hydrants are the main intake points where water reaches users. Working with valves and measuring equipment, Hydrologger® handles intake authorisation, valve control and monitoring of usage.

From physical valve to digital management

Each hydrant can be registered in the central system with its user details, permissions and meter/index data. Water intake is no longer just opening and closing; it is tracked digitally by user, time, amount and site.

Part of the autonomous irrigation ecosystem

Index data is calculated per user and runs autonomously within the start–end window of the irrigation plan through GIS-based SCADA integrated with ESYS. Every step from declaration to irrigation is processed automatically.

Uninterrupted hydrant control even where there is no electricity

Hydrologger® units fitted to hydrant outlets prevent unauthorised use through user authentication, intake permission, and control of irrigation amount and time.

Solar power and a rechargeable battery let the device run independently at irrigation sites with no grid electricity.

  • A solar panel and battery pack are fitted to every smart hydrant, so devices run 24/7 without relying on power infrastructure.
  • Data is sent to the central system over LoRaWAN; hydrant status and water use are monitored without a site visit.
  • Valve and meter states are kept under control through continuous transmission; alarm routing gets teams moving quickly.

Control and command of the autonomous meter-valve set

Index data from the meters is calculated for 32 different users. The system runs within the irrigation start and end dates of each user's own irrigation plan. Integrated with the Electronic Water Management System (ESYS), it can run fully autonomously through GIS-based SCADA.

Irrigation associations can manage the system with the SCADA software and mobile apps. Farmers can also control it through the mobile app. The system is part of a fully autonomous irrigation chain in which every step, from farmers' declarations to field irrigation, is processed automatically.

Hydrants are defined and traceable on the digital operations map

With SCADA and ESYS integration, hydrants become measurable, manageable water management points with their locations, users, permissions and usage data. Network pressure integration and multi-network configuration make management more efficient.

Users and permissions

User lists, intake permissions and irrigation plans are defined centrally.

Meter and index

Index values and live intake data are sent to ESYS.

Vana durumu

Valve opening and closing, status and commands are managed through SCADA and mobile apps.

Pressure data

Network pressure values are read and sent to the central server for safe operation.

Irrigation associations: full management through SCADA and mobile apps.

Farmers: can control their own irrigation from the mobile app.
